Marshal Law

No, not from Tekken.

I definitely need to get a bigger scanner to scan these if I'm gonna' keep doing these 11" x 14" commissions.

I started taking commissions and this was the first piece.  Looks like a Marshal Law is on it's way next.

My kids as Super Heroes

Here are some pieces that I did that were based on the July EOC Sketchbook Challenge by my pal Jun Kim (you can check out Jun's work here http://journal.junbobkim.com/ and do yourself a favor and order a commission from him when his list opens back up).

The goal of the challenge was to draw from photo reference, i.e., real life.  Therefore, I decided to use the best subjects that I could think of, my kids

Here's the first one.

Damian

Here's a new sketch.  I'm hoping to start doing some commissions to finance a new 11x17 scanner.  All single character 9"x12" sketches will go for $25 (shipping included).  I'll even ship that size international.

This Damian/Robin is the first one (though not commissioned) and is up for grabs.  Drop me an e-mail at atomstrange@yahoo.com and I'll send it your way after a PayPal transaction.

Thanks all,
Andy (Atom!)

Black Panther (now in glorious color)

Hey there all...

I know that I've posted the Black Panther commission that I did back in the fall before.  But now, my friend, Brian Dyck has completed the piece by coloring it.  My only instructions to Brian were, "Make it your own."

I think that Brian did one heckuva' nice job on it.  He's a budding colorist and I'm hoping that Brian will be gracious enough to work with me again in the future.  If you agree and want to see some more of Brian's coloring goodness, hop on over to Brian's Deviant Art page at http://briandyck.deviantart.com/

Below is Brian's Black Panther (colored) along with my inked version directly below.

Thanks Brian!!

Fire Sale

Hey all...

I was making room in my portfolio/presentation case for my new art that I bought at C2E2 and I realized that it's time to get rid of some things.

Most of you that know me are aware that I don't typically keep my own art (other than a photocopy in my portfolio). It just makes me feel conceited and vain to look at my own stuff. Therefore, I've decided that it's time to say goodbye to some old pieces that I did in 2001 and 2002. These were all unused covers (except one that was published) that I did for a small independent publisher out of Ohio back in the day.

All are 11"x17" except the piece with the Dragon type guys on it (that's a double page spread). Each one goes for $40 plus shipping costs ($10) except the double page which goes for $60.

Keep in mind that I have no idea how much my stuff is worth (I'm just throwing a number out there that will make it worth sending them away), so if they sell fast... then they were too cheap. If they don't sell, then they were too expensive. Hopefully (like Goldilocks), they're juuuuuuussssst right.

If you're interested in any of these pieces just drop me an e-mail at my contact info and we'll figure out payment, shipping and that sort of stuff

Cheers,
Andy

Cover to Uprising #2 (published) - SOLD

Cover to Enforcer #1 (unpublished) - $40

Pinup for ? (I honestly can't remember the title) - $60

Jaxxon

Here's a pretty obscure character from the Star Wars universe. This is a character named Jaxxon that first appeared in the Marvel Star Wars series (issue #8). I'm assuming that he was created by Roy Thomas and Howard Chaykin.

To me, he just screams "fun". I suppose it's appropriate that I finished the pencils on this one while visiting the in-laws on Easter Sunday.

Flippa Dippa

Here's a Flippa Dippa I did at Zack Kruse's house one night while drinking beer and watching crappy movies.

Some new stuff

Here's some new stuff for you patient followers. Sorry, I haven't kept up on this too well.

Here's a character from Johnny Ryan's Prison Pit. This was done as an experiment. The concept was basically, "What if Jack Kirby did a commission of the most unlikely character he would ever draw?"

I present Cannibal %#!$-face...
